Happy Birthday Ryan
We had Ryan's birthday party the day after he turned two. There was no doubt as to what the theme was for the day...
He had a great time opening his presents this year. This was really the first "present-opening event" where he really understood what to do...
It really meant alot that Ryan's great grandfather came all the way from NJ just for the day...any time that he gets to share with a great grandparent is very special...
Kelly enjoyed the balloons and even helped Ryan open some presents while Anna was content attacking my Dad with Ryan's new chain saw...
For the second year in a row, Lisa pulled off and AMAZING cake for the party. It tasted just as good as it looked....Ryan just dove in...

First Pics of a Two Year Old
OK, I am a week late with these, but life gets in the way...
Ryan turned two last friday. He was up before i left for work so I was able to catch him early on his birthday - note the bed head.
We played outside after work, sharing toys with the neighborhood kids....all in all a calm birthday - before the storm of party day.

Ka-chow
Ryan's birthday present from the Virginia grandparents arrived early so we began to move him over right away.
The car didn't even have its "sponsorship" lined up yet, but Ryan was ready for it...
After we got through to the good people at Rust-eze, the car took on a whole new life....

The World's Most Patient Emu
Meet the Emu - no idea what his/her name is, but i have to tell you, i have never seen another emu quite like this one. Maybe it's used to kids, maybe it was tired. Either way, I can't believe Ryan didn't get bitten....
