Great Granparent Fun

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from Ryan's Great Grandparents and cousin Mike last week. They brought him another great truck - this one being a car carrier just like the one great grandpa drove many years ago. Ryan had a blast play with that as well as hooking and un-hooking train cars.

It is going to be great to see them again when we head to the Outer Banks this summer.

Post Easter Dress Up

For some odd reason, Ryan insisted that he wear his easter tie one day last week. Just too cute.

When Daddy's Not Around...

These pictures were taken the last time I was out of town. Oddly enough, it took another business trip for me to get around to posting them. I am on the road again this week and have a ton of pictures to catch up with. Free time + photo backlog = blog upadates.

While I was in Arizona, Ryan and Lisa tried out finger painting. These speak for themselves....

Easter Festivities

We started off easter morning with a little egg dying session at home. That resulted in Lisa and I coloring most of the eggs and Ryan coloring most of his fingers :)

Ryan got dressed in his Sunday best and got his shoes on with a little help from Mommy...

Even though it was a wonderful sunny day, he almost insisted on wearing his rubber truck rain boots...

After that, we were off to the grandparents' house for more trucks, more eggs, and more candy. there was a hat that matched the blazer but he wouldn't keep it on long enough for a picture. Picture Angus Young from AC/DC and you'll get an idea of how Ryan looked. (its all about the hair)

Happy Easter

Ryan is napping after coming down off his jelly bean high. We'll be off to grandma and grandpa's house after he wakes up.

Last Sunday, we went to an Easter Egg Drop with Uncle Tommy and and Aunt Nicole. I had never seen eggs dropped from a helicopter so that was pretty cool. Ryan enjoyed it too and got the hang of scooping up the eggs.

Here comes the helicopter...

The Helicopter swoops in and drops off the loot...

Bye Bye Helicopter...

Ryan worked his way through the crowd and gathered up the eggs....

Last weekend Part I

Here are some of the pictures from the second part of last weekend.

Ryan was playing catch with his cousin Anna. His skills aren't quite there yet...

She may be my brother's daughter, but I'll get her rooting for the right football team in no time.

20 months

Ain't it funny, how time slips away...

20 months today. it just amazes me all the time. I wasn't there to snap pictures today so you get some that were taken a few days early. hopefully he hasn't changed THAT much since i've been away.

He is becoming quite the chatterbox - those it's mostly words that only a parent can love. Much to my dismay, he has become a huge Elmo fan. we'll see how long that lasts.

So, here's my 20 month old little buddy...

Outdoor Weekend - Part I

My parents were down from New Jersey to help us do some more projects around the house. That idea went out the window when we realized how great the weather was going to be. Parks, zoos, Easter Egg Drops and long walks replaced dry wall, caulk and cleaning on the agenda.

I managed to get through Saturday's pictures before I left on a business trip. No explanation needed for these other than family, fun - and Ryan's long hair :)

Springtime in Virginia (or more pictures of Ryan's long hair)

Ryan spent the weekend at his grandparents' house again as Lisa and I complete week 2 of This Old Bathroom. Luckily, with the weather turning warmer, we got to spend some time outside after work. Ryan spent a good deal of it running up and down the hill in our yard...

This one just cracked me up with the wind smushing his face back...

He also took some time out to admire a passing airplane, and give his car a much needed tune up after a long winter in the garage.

As always, the rest are up on Smugmug!!
