Like much of the country, Ryan was starting to become enthralled in the ever intriguing saga of Brett Favre's retirement. As you can see, he was quite interested in word of his reinstatement. From there, he decided to pay a little bit of attention to the story - or the attractive blonde reporter, I'm not sure which
We all came to an agreement, though that the story has become way too overexposed - and to be honest, we don't care about the Packers anyway. Ryan is definitely ready to change the channel - unless a story about the Cowboys comes on.

Off to join the circus?
Who knows, maybe Ryan has a career as a contortionist ahead of him. Either that, or there were some really good toys in the bottom of that basket.

And away we go....
Ok, I'll admit that I feel a little bad that we had to bait Ryan with the phone to get him going. But it is completely worth while to have been able to capture his first real set of steps.

Summer Spray
Nothing like a little spray of water to cool off on a hot day. The original intent of the sprayer was to curb Igor's barking a little bit. For those of you who don't know, we have Ms. Gulch living across the street. But as it turns out, Ryan thinks its a ton of fun too.

Father and Son
Ryan had a rough night last night so Lisa got to sleep in for a few hours this morning. That, of course, leads to awesome alone time for me with the boy. You can tell that it was just him and I by this wonderful outfit that I put him in. I was told later that it didn't match. No way that would fly with his mother around. This one needs a small explanation. This rabbit that Ryan is playing with is named "Original". Quite the name, right? Well, here's the story. This little guy was Lisa's when she was a kid. Her dad broguh tit back from Germany for her. It is a Steiff and it had a paper tag on it letting you know that it is part of the "original" Steiff collection. My darling wife, in her naive youth thought that it was a name tag. Thus - her new pet rabbit became known as "Original". This year, he became Ryan's first easter bunny. We got out his first percussion instruments. Its small egg-shaped maraca. Definitely fun to shake. Then we got in to a little game of tug-of-war with the dog. When you're out of the house all day, weekends are the only chance to spend those first hours with your child. A good time was had by all.

Ryan's Tunnel
Lisa had Ryan's tunnel out in the living room when I got home the other day. It took him a little while to warm up to the idea of crawling through it, but once he got used to it, he didn't stop.

I Get the Camera. He gets the lens cap
Why do we even buy toys? Between the ones the cat has and other household items Ryan is perfectly content :)

11 Months
Well, we're creeping up on the one year mark. I can't believe it. I know that in the grand scheme of things we've still barely scratched the surface of everything with Ryan. It's just amazing to think about how far it seems like we've come...
