The house is sold, our stuff is in boxes and the iMac is dead. I have a bunch of pictures to post - including Ryan and Evan's new cousin. Now, if i could just find that external hard drive....
we are starting to settle in to Lisa's mom's house. Ryan is having a ball and Evan is a mean (if not lean) crawling machine. Hopefully I will have some time for the camera soon.
The search for our next house will soon be underway. Not planning to move for a loooong time after this one...

8 Months and Chunky
Little E is 8 months old today. Unbelievable how much has changed in the past month. we're up to 6 visible teeth with a bunch more on the way and he is pretty much a full fledged crawler....
nothing is safe in the house these days. we have been quickly reminded that toddler-proofing and baby-proofing are no where near the same thing. It is amazing how much life changes when you can't reliably put the boy down and expect him to be in the same place 10 seconds later....

Ryan is 3!!
Well, if you ask him, he is actually 7 today. Not sure where that came from, but that is what he insisted on. It was a great day with family and close friends. Food, cookies, cake and presents - everything a little kid could ever want.
Taking the new scooter for a test drive in the kitchen...
This expanding ball thing was the most popular toy with all the kids (and some of the adults) today...

Holy Crap - It's August.
So when I last left the blog I posted our 4th of July photos two weeks late. Well, I haven't become any more prompt since then and just finished editing the rest July this weekend.
In that time, Evan has gone from one tooth to 4 and from staying put to starting to crawl. He is still a little chunker though. Ryan continues to be a Jekyll and Hyde toddler (aren't they all) but is getting really close to fully peeing on the toilet. Pooping, that's a whole other story - he just saves that for after you put him to bed or when he is alone in the basement. (sorry for the non-parents who had to read that, but that's life).
As for Lisa and I, in the past two weeks we decided to sell the house, cleaned and prepped the house for sale, put the house on the market and in 3 days got 3 offers. We are just completely busting at the seams in this place and ready to move on.
So why Strawberry Fields? For starters, it is one of my favorite shots, second, I can't do a post with no pictures, third, Ryan is big into pretending these days, and finally, with a little of that imagination of my own, moving again won't be so bad!
Enjoy the rest of our July recap...

Fun with the Brogans
The Brogan crew stopped in for the weekend on their way to the Outer Banks a couple weeks back. We all had a blast. Adding an extra kid to the house was interesting and Ryan was pretty enamored with the two little ones. Even now he occasionally asks if Keith, Nathalie and AJ can come over. Since we will be up in NJ in a few weeks at their house, he is convinced that there is a party for someone's birthday.
i grabbed a few shots of the kids while Keith kept them looking in the same direction...
Keep in mind that AJ is about 7 weeks older than Evan...
The best part of this whole excursion is that we were relaxing on the lawn of a winery...Happy Daddy, Happy Baby....

My Little Buddy
Despite the typical toddler temperment, Ryan is just an awesome kid. Everyday after I work I am ordered to play catch, bedtime starts with dancing to Dispatch, Led Zeppelin and the Dave Matthews Band and when you catch the right mood, he tries so hard to be help out Lisa and I around the house. He is also obsessed with everyone's relatives and pets - his favorite thing to ask is what everyone's mommy and daddy's names are as well as their dogs and cats. He even went through all of those questions for John Fogerty when we heard Centerfield on the radio.
He has opinions, likes and dislikes, and is more than willing to tell me all about his day. I can't believe he is almost 3. Seriously, he amazes me everyday.

Comparative Sizing
As I mentioned earlier, Evan is a chunker. At a shade under 7 months here he is comfortably wearing one of his brother's hand-me-downs. The scary thing is, Ryan wore it at his FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY.

7 months
My littlest buddy turned 7 months old a few weeks back. As I try to do every month, i did get pictures of him. It was the part where i need to load them onto the computer that became difficult....
Not much else to say about the kid except, damn is he cute...
A piano player in the family would be pretty cool...
Teething...
Reminds me a little bit of Ryan at 10 months....
